Newmarket Meeting Larabee : September 2014

On March 3, 2012, I attended a meeting in Newmarket. The meeting was about CA$ and police and the Ontario's school system. I saw Lee Bolton at this meeting too. FIXCAS.com posted about this meeting on their website. I attended this meeting because I was seeking support and wanted to meet other survivors and also talk about ways to force CAS to pay for my therapy bills.

I am a former foster child of the CA$. The year I aged out of foster care I started asking for a copy of the file. CAS refuses. I know that the failure to make records available to former crown wards is motivated by a fear on the part of the CAS that access to the records will result in law suits and criminal charges being brought against the agencies for failure to protect the rights of the child.

I have been asking the CAS for my file since the year of 2006 to receive a complete and unedited copy of my foster hell file but in Ontario the CAS has them and they are not subject to freedom of information legislation and therefore continue to refuse me a copy of the file.

I also was seeking to start a Class Action Lawsuit against the Sudbury Group Homes and against the CAS and the Province of Ontario.
